My brother recently went to the top hospital in USA (Mayo clinic) to confirm that a specialist doctor had wrongly Continue reading
Part project management, part customer service and part account manager, the Customer Success role was invented to stop churn and ensure business value.
Machine Learning harnesses the surge of data driven by latest real-time services.
Over the last 10 years, we have come across many small businesses that say “no” to managed services and try to save money by enlisting in some form of “casual support”. We believe folks that have “casual support” are playing Russian roulette with their IT infrastructure.
Many are used to having Exchange on-premise and the older versions of Exchange are fast and reliable, when configured and maintained properly. The newer versions of Exchange take more resources and can be slow if you don’t have enough CPU power assigned to it or if your storage is greater than 100GB on one of the four storage areas. Office 365 is where Microsoft is investing, so you can be assured that more bells and whistles will be added to make this scenario better value over time.
With plethora of low cost “smart” devices, productivity of field workers is expected to improve dramatically. Instead of paper-based forms or relying on office time to update reports or enter basic information, design your systems to take full advantage of the smartphone, ipad or tablet. How do you ensure your field staff are more productive?
Although they may or may not appear in the cloak of the local police, there are two forms of ransomware. The first one locks your screen and keeps you from accessing your data and is generally easy to remove with antivirus software (or system restore). The second one is more destructive and begins to encrypt your data, which makes it impossible to view your data even after removing the virus.
It’s safe to say that most large enterprises jumped on the virtualisation bandwagon years ago. Many small to medium companies have also taken advantage of virtualisation, but suprisingly, there are still those with physical servers who have not changed them for a variety of reasons.
With more funding, more participants and more choice combined with a focus on independence and community outcomes, there are three areas of job and productivity growth expected for Australia’s NDIS
The NDIS mainly accelerates a process/funding to the person-centric model. The impact to the non-profit service providers is huge as they now need systems to manage 1000’s of clients, rather than just two (e.g. state and federal governments). The need for service providers to track and report on goals and tasks related to the goals is therefore our 2nd outcome of the NDIS that “most people didn’t know”.
In short, the three end results of NDIS are a more efficient service delivery, greater self-determination for the disabled and huge increase in jobs for disabled and folks in disablity health sector. We’ll go through these three result of NDIS in more detail in this series.
Your clients, suppliers or opportunities claim they never recieved your e-mail. You send again. Still not getting through. Your e-mails seem to be lost in the ether. You company has likely been blacklisted. How do you know if you’ve been blacklisted?
Have you been Blacklisted? Want to avoid it? Getting “blacklisted” means you can no longer send e-mail out freely.
As one of the most common failures of software projects is getting folks to use the new portal or back office, defining and adding personas early is critical before the developers jump into coding the solution. The interface for both back-end users and field staff needs to have a design which is simple and has all the most commonly needed functions. In short, the software interface should not make the user feel stupid.
Not only is it easy to set up and brand your website, taking orders in multiple currencies, giving options on shipping and tracking shipments is being ‘democratized’. That is, pricepoints are within reach for the small companies to offer similar consistency of service as the big guys.
The risk of vendor lock-in is a major hurdle to cloud adoption, yet small businesses that adopt cloud services tend to have better revenue growth and improved productivity.
Do NOT lock yourself into the cloud without knowing how you can move your data across your multiple clouds, especially moving it from external location back to on-premise. Having this option gives you peace of mind in the event of legislation changes or security scares.
Other than better enterprise security, the main reason to choose the Surface over an Ultrabook is – it is both desktop device and a Tablet. Only order the 128 GB version or wait for 256 GB version for corporate use.
One of the advantages of Yammer for Microsoft (SharePoint) is to open social features for enterprise level groups, focus groups and external networks since SharePoint main focus is teams and your personal space.

Australian firms are expected to spend about $7.5 billion on IT outsourcing services this calendar year (according to Gartner). This includes outsourcing staff, outsourcing equipment, especially servers in the cloud (often called infrastructure-as-a-services – IAAS) and Outsourcing software, especially those that can run in the cloud or software as a services (SAAS) such as e-mail or CRM.
CRM is intended to be a full lifecycle solution for managing customers from marketing to after sales support. This article shows a starter sales solution that can broadly be implemented within five days and cost you less than $10,000.
With all the hoopla going around about Cloud Computing, we thought it worthwhile to share a more formal definition from a reputable body.
Many IT “infrastructure as a Service” providers offer hybrid cloud services allowing you to purchase compute services as needed based on your peak. Cloud computing is still a couple years away mainly because only a few players are offering the “brokering” service that is required to make it easy to purchase computer (i.e. cpu, memory or storage) resources on demand.
